- Well always remember when making a deck, have enough mana of all colors(hopefully no more than two) to support your cards. You should be able to shuffle your cards and get at least 2-3 in your first hand. Also, have cards that work togther well together. For example, if you have a card that says all soliders get +1 +1, and you have alot of Solider monsters, build your cards around that. I typically have decks of about 50-60 cards, any more then that, and it becomes hard to work in a strategy. Hope this helps. :)
- You need to have access to more cards. Rebels Unite is a Black/White deck and Fate Blaster is a Red/Blue deck, so there is no color synergy. It will be very difficult to put together, not to say it can't be done. You could take the white cards from rebels unite along with the red cards from fate blaster, use the plains and mountains to try to make a strategy that works. It would be better to use one of those decks as a base strategy, then go to your local card shop and pick up other cards that would fit better into the deck. Both of these decks are from Future Sight and there have been 4 sets that have come out after Future Sight that could help these decks and in less than 2 weeks, Shards of Alara will be out as well and Future Sight will no longer be standard legal, but will be extended legal, so you might want to look into cards farther back, like Champions of Kamigawa, Time Spiral, or Mirrodin even. Remember, try to keep the decks to either 2 colors or if you are going to play more colors, you need to get some Terramorphic Expanse in your deck or have mana acceleration in the form of Prismatic Lens, Coalition Relic, Chrome Mox, or some other artifact that can produce colored mana, or use some Gemstone Mines (land) or dual lands. I hope this helps, I hope you find what you are looking for, but mostly I hope you will enjoy playing MTG as much as I do.
