  1. well first of all, i would stick to two colors, so you have a better chance of getting the mana you need. and from my experience red and black are a good combo. black has a lot of cards that can disable your opponent from attacking, etc. and red has alot of cards that can directly attack your opponent. if you want to add a third color, thats up to you
  2. i don't think so, for blue is defensive type and red - green is offensive type. in my opinion, three color deck, which is not friendly color, is hard to be played. Maybe you should try green - red - black. Black to abolish, green to deal damage, red to scorch.
  3. It COULD work, I guess. It's best to look at the cards available and see if any of them happen to mesh well together. For instance, I noticed that Ire of Kaminari (deals damage to a creature or player equal to the number of Arcane spells in your graveyard) worked wonderfully with blue/red stall. I took that and made a decent deck out of it, stalling the entire game until I had ~20 Arcanes discarded, then nuking them for death in one fell swoop. Three colors are harder, though. Look for cards that affect other colors for bonuses. Giving all creatures you control +X/+0 from a red card is quite useful against a swarm of green tokens, especially if you gave them flying with a blue card. Additionally, take a look at the split cards. They could help you decide on which colors to use. Rare, multicolor lands are the best way to go for these types of decks.
