So, what's your strategy for Magic: the Gathering Shards of Alara booster draft?

- I went for the Naya cards (WGR). those are the ones that give sweet effects to power 5 or greater cards, and then some of the weaklings can be tapped for mana. They seemed at a first glance to be the ones easiest to build a deck around when you have limited cards. If I tried again, I think I would try to get some Jund cards (GRB) instead, but hey, it's a matter of preference and a lot of luck.
- For a draft, the best strategy is to go for the first bomb card you can get and build a deck from there. If you get first pick, and a Hellkite Overlord is available, you should go Jund. Likewise, if its Master of Etherium go Esper. You could always take a risky chance and decide what you wanna do before the draft (I prefer Esper, so that's usually what I aim for) then make sure and pick the best cards for that Shard ASAP. There may not be any bomb cards in that Shard later. Also, try not to let others know what Shard you choose, for they may try to saw you(take your picks to prevent your victory) That's my path to draft. Its pretty useful.
- It depends on what you open. If it is a bomby card (It's really powerful) like Hellkite Overlord or Flameblast Dragon. You should take it. Then try to draft according to the colors. However, if the following packs have no quality cards for that color, change to a new color. If the opening pack doesn't have any bombs, pick a good card that can fit in most decks, try not to take a 3 color card as you may have to commit to those colors too early. Good general cards are like courier's capsule, infest etc. Finally, try not to take too many mana fixers like the Obelisks, about 2-4 is just about right.
- decide what shard to use and then go for that one
