Best strategy to beat a zombie/vampire black deck in Magic the Gathering?
Ok, so my friend has this deck thats made up of mostly black zombies and vampires and several enchantments that take life from me and give it to him basically. Anyone got some advice on how to beat him?

- My suggestion would be to make a control deck. Blue/White is an example of a good counter. Use Blue cards like Cancel and Essence Scatter to prevent him from playing his life draining cards, and his overpowering creatures. Also, cards like Mind Control to gain control of his creatures. Blue has plenty of counterspells. Use the White to deliver quick attacks to your opposition, and to beef up your creatures. Cards like Undead Slayer has a skill that allows you to destroy target skeleton/vampire/zombie. White Knight has protection from black and first strike. Both are very cheap mana cost cards. Holy Strength gives enchanted creature +1/+2 to help survive in battle. If you can't cancel all his life draining, use Angel's Mercy to revive your health, and then Twincast to duplicate the effect. Twincast also works well paired with Mind Control. Basically a deck like this is designed to take control of the game, and to force your will on your opponent rather than the other way around. Make sure you have plenty of mana though. Hope this helps.
- are you playing casually or do you specifically go with standard or type 1 etc.? first off id suggest you tell him to make his deck either zombies or vamps and not both next id make a deck to beat it. you have a couple options. A red deck with lots of burn to kill his creatures and a few key creatures of your own... a white deck with path to exhile oblivion ring wrath of god pacifism etc. ... a black deck with enginered plague or the best option... a genericly good deck that has nothing to do with specificall trying to beat his certain creature types and just works well. O you could also try a deck with caltrops and the apocolypse rare thats red adn white with a similar ability to caltrops... if your laying standard i can try to give you a rough deck list to look at.
