I need help devising a strategy for Magic: The Gathering? I control a rather sneakily devised Esper deck- Black, blue and white artifacts. I have a friend who claims that Naya, the deck she plays with, was made to beat my deck. I don´t really believe her, but she seems to be able to beat me a lot more than I can defeat her. What I need are some strategies. That´s why I´m here. Little help, please?
I need to know if this Magic: The Gathering strategy would work or if there's some major flaw.? Okay, the main cards are: Ruin Ghost-http://www.coolstuffinc.com/main_viewCard.php?Card_Name=Ruin Ghost&viewtype=Magic the Gathering Cards#Ruin Ghost Scrib Nibblers-http://www.coolstuffinc.com/main_viewCard.php?Card_Name=Scrib Nibblers&viewtype=Magic the Gathering Cards#Scrib Nibblers Pemmin's Aura-http://www.coolstuffinc.com/main_viewCard.php?Card_Name=Pemmin's Aura&viewtype=Magic the Gathering Cards#Pemmin's Aura and Krosan Restorer-http://www.coolstuffinc.com/main_viewCard.php?Card_Name=Krosan Restorer&viewtype=Magic the Gathering Cards#Krosan Restorer Strategy: Have out up to Four Scrib Nibblers and a Krosan Restorer and Ruin Ghost, both with Remmin's Aura on them. Getting this out might be tricky, bu that's not what I'm worried about. What I would do would be to tap all Scrib Nibblers and use their ability. Then, I could tap a plains to add white mana. Use that mana and tap Ruin Ghost to exile the tapped plains and bring it back in, untapped. Untap Scrib Nibblers because of Landfall. Tap them. Tap an island and untap Ruin Ghost. Tap white, tap him, exile/unexile plains and untap Scrib Nibblers. If I've got seven cards in the graveyard, tap Krosan Restorer to untap three islands. Tap two of those islands to untap Ruin Ghost and Krosan Restorer. Then, repeat each step as necessary to exile my opponent's deck, gaining some good life in the process. Now, am I missing something?
Magic the Gathering strategy for blue decks? ? I'm just wondering what some good strategies are for blue decks in magic the gathering. I'm not sure how blue decks are supposed to operate so I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I have the following deck. Basically I was thinking I could get some unblockable creatures out, and be able to draw more cards, to get more creatures out and also counterspells, to take out their bigger creatures or threats. Here's my decklist. Let me know what you think. Creatures 16 Morphling x2 Cloud Elemental x4 Cloud Sprite x2 Sage Owl x4 Inkfathom Infiltrator 1 Phantom Warrior 1 Noggle Bandit x2 Spells 20 Cancel x4 Unsummon x4 Remove Soul x2 Ancestral Vision 1 Counsel of the Soratami x3 Sift x4 More?????? Not sure what else to add
yugioh and magic the gathering question.? why is it that more people play yugioh then any other TCG though it doesn't take near as much skill or strategy as magic the gathering. i just dont get it. can anyone explain it to me. and don't say things like yugioh is better because you won't get best answer. yugioh requires no skill if you can read you can play it while in magic you must know when to play certain cards and when to attack and block. b/c theres no cards like magic cylinder to protect you if you have no creatures left.
What would you say the best strategy for a green and white Magic deck? It is based on wolves.? I have a Green and White Magic: The Gathering deck and it is based on wolves. I have different kinds of enchantments and other things in there like Stream of Life and other life gaining cards, an unfinished collection of wolves (waiting for Tolsimir Wolfblood from the Ravnica series), and I have some pumping cards in there. I would like to know what you think the best stratagey is for it and/or cards you think I should add.
A n00b to Magic the Gathering needs advice on deck building and strategy? I want to get into Magic, but I'm not sure what approach I should take in building my first deck. I like white, green, and blue, but not red or black. I think I want to go with a two-colored deck, but I would consider monochrome. I definitely don't want more than two colors though, so green/white/blue is out of the question. I think I want to use a strategy that involves overrunning opponents with weak, easy to summon creatures and also with flying creatures, while supporting my creatures with some solid defensive magic. It seems to me that this would call for a blue and white combination, but green has far better creatures on average than blue and white, and it sometimes even seems to have more interesting/useful magic. Any advice?
Magic the Gathering question...? What's the best combo of colors / strategies for Magic the Gathering? I want to make a very good deck because I'm going to a Friday Night Magic pretty soon.
MAGIC THE GATHERING????????????? Anyone know of good strategies for MAGIC: THE GATHERING? I play with the Boros legion from the set of Ravnica city of guilds, but yea i think im kinda outated, any suggestions?
What's the best deck or set to buy to learn how to play Magic: The Gathering? I'm a strategy game nut, not a pro-tournament player wannabe. I want to keep my costs under $50 (it is only a game, after all) and have enough cards to be able to have a few players playing simultaneously on game nights. Should I start with the 10th edition Core, or should I just randomly start buying inexpensive cards where I see them?
magic the gathering standard strategies.? OK, so... what can i do to stop someone who brings out It That Betrays on turn two? he uses a dark ritual and then i don't know what else to bring it from the graveyard into play.. but i just know that by then, i'm usually EFFED. Now i need to be able to stop this, but i know not what to do. SO i am asking all you wizards to help me. i think that the only real way to stop him is with blue, but let me know what you guys would do. just a side note: he uses black but since he doesn't actually summon his creatures and he just brings them from the graveyard he also has a bunch of other high costing creatures that are ridiculous thank you in advance to all those who help me =].
Magic the Gathering, I have a forest deck, I have a certain strategy, what is it called? My deck is designed to pull out lots of mana quickly and bring out a bunch of 6/4, 6/6, and 7/6 cards within the first 10 rounds. If the game doesn't end soon I power up my cards with +3/+3, +4/+4, +7/+7, and +X/+X I usually take out all of their life within 2 rounds of when I first attack What kind of deck is this? oh yeah, if things go my way, i usually have a 7/6 creature out 3rd turn
what is the best colour to use in magic the gathering? i know depending on what strategy you want to use effects the decision on what colours are best to use. but specifically I'd like to know what deck colour would be best to use against a black/red deck? a friend of mine has a black/red deck that keeps destroying my blue/black deck :( eventually, it may just come down to me being poor at the game but until that has been justified, some answers would be helpful and greatly appreciated :)
games like magic the gathering? i really want a a free game to play and i want it to be like magic the gathering --a turn based strategy ---also i want it to be able to play against other people so me and my friends can face each other!
strategies for black magic the gathering cards? im pretty bad at this game but i started to be a lot wiser about how to make a deck because i recently saw some people play yugioh and they told me about things like beatdown and control decks which reminded me of aggro and control so i did a little research and cards that would have never made sense to me started to seem like a perfect combo. however when i start making a deck, i have army of entropy from shadowmoor, i cant decide whether to use wither or aggro more. my aggro cards are things like goblin king which seem to go well with some of the army of entropy cards but then i cant decide which i like better. how did you decide how to limit which colors you wanted to use because im basically stuck because i have all 5 colors which seem pretty good together but i want to limit it to black and or black and 1 more color.

I have a few Magic the Gathering questions? I previously asked for some advice on what color combination I, as a n00bie Magic player, should try. I want to go with a strategy that's mainly "white weenie," backed up with some strong defense magic and plenty of flying creatures. Based on that, I was leaning toward a white/blue deck, but the commenters seemed to think I should go white/green instead, so now I'm leaning toward that. My first question is, would a white weenie deck backed up with defense magic and flying creatures be a good strategy? (I think there was a white/blue Morningtide deck that used a similar strategy.) Second, what are some good green or white flying creatures I could get for my deck? (No theme-deck cards, please; I want to be able to replace my cards as new editions come out.) Third, given my intended strategy and level of experience, could a white/blue splash aggro deck work as well for me as the white/green combo I was previously suggested? And finally, should I wait until the 11th ed. comes out to make any final decisions? I have some cards, but they're 7th ed., 8th ed. and Mirrodin; nonetheless, I can still build some decks to practice with. Also, I'm in 12th grade and I go to a small high school, so I don't know anyone else who plays, but next fall I'll be in college, and the 11th ed. should be coming out between now and then, so I'm thinking maybe I should just wait on it.
How would I expand on a non-existing Magic the Gathering collection? Yeah, I just heard about Magic the Gathering and I think it is very cool, mature, and strategy-type card game. First off, I want to have a good collection of cards so I can create a deck from it. Yes, I saw all the tutorial videos, so I want to buy as much cards for atleast 150 dollars. I don't know my color. Please tell me what should I get[a lot of booster packs, theme decks of all colors, or booster boxes], so I can have a variety of cards in my collection. So what happenes if I get 2 booster packs out of like 10 cheap sets. Will that help?
Serious Magic the Gathering question...? I know that the creator of Magic the Gathering was a mathematician, so doesn't that mean there must be a 'perfect' deck/strategy? Okay maybe not perfect, but dang near it.
i wanna work on a new magic the gathering deck, and i wanna have a good stratagy.soo...? i was thinking green, blue, red. but would that be good? and what strategies can u get out of that? like jund, bant, esper, grixis, counter, combo, aggro, control, etc.???? so plz help
popular red/white magic the gathering deck? I'm thinking about getting back into magic the gathering sometime soon. i can use pretty much any color scheme, but red, green, and white are my best, and I prefer a red/white deck. do play casual type 2 tournaments.. and i don't want to spend a horrible amount of money. any suggestions for strategies?
magic the gathering players: 5 colored deck structure? I just recently made a 5 colored deck and i'm looking for a way to edit it to make it to become stronger. i have lots of cards to add more manna, so i'm ok with manna. any good combos or strategies you have? how much land of each color should i have? it's an 85 card deck. thanks
Magic the Gathering fun questions? Hi, I just want some opinion from magic players. 1) What is a must-have colour in any competitive deck? 2) What deck strategy do you play? 3) Is it better to have a mono-, di-, or tri-colour, or all-colour deck? 4) What is the average duration of a magic game? 5) What, in your opinion, is the most-used colour combination? 6) What, in your opinion, is the most effective colour combination (or maybe just one colour only)? 7) What is your favourite magic card? 8) How much does the average booster pack cost nowadays? 9) Are tribal-themed decks more powerful than non-tribal-themed decks, or does it depend? 10) How are most magic battles won? (milling, beatdown, burn, etc.) Thanks for your time. I haven't played magic before but I'm interested in it, so that's why I asked these questions. Thanks.
Anti-Elf Magic The Gathering Deck? Hey guys, I play magic and I mostly play with a single friend. He uses an elf deck that I just cannot beat. Using one land, he usually brings out something like Llanowar Elf then taps that brings out more elves like and can usually bring out over 10 elves by turn 5. He then overwhelms me with various elf combos and just simply buffing his elves up and destroying me. I was wondering if anyone had a deck to counter his strategy. It can be any color or multi-color. I'd prefer something that is actually useful outside of beating his deck, but that's my focus. I'd some help.
Magic The Gathering Vs Naruto CCG? Well i want to start playing Magic The Gathering. It sound so cool but the game scares me at times because in the HOW TO PLAY videos they talked about abuse. Then i saw strategies that looked so hard to beat. If i do play i am going to sell all my Naruto cards. Which is more fun Naruto or Magic? Please convince me about Magic. I would also like to inform you that i am low on money and want to ask if Magic is expensive.
magic the gathering: help with red burns please!? so basically, i'm making a red burn deck. so far i have... 4 lightning bolts 4 shocks 2 hammer of borghdan 4 flames burst 4 volcanic hammers 1 kamahl pit fighter 2 book burning 4 firebolt 1 pulse of the forge 1 furnace of rath 3 incinerate I need a couple more cards that will benefit my burn deck. i have enough burns, i just might need to add some cards to back it up.. maybe a recoup, or maybe a marari. i don't want my deck to be mana heavy because that will defeat the purpose of the strategy. thanks in advance!! oh yea, i might need 1 or 2 more monsters, i only have kamahl..
Anyone know of a good site for Magic the Gathering theme deck info? Hey guys, I was looking to get back into playing magic again (i dropped out during Ravnica) and it seems they came out with a few new toys while i was away. does anybody know firstly which sets are standard right now. secondly, does anybody know where I can find some info about the STRATEGY (not story) about the current decks? when i say strategy, i just want to know how you should best use each deck and how i should play the cards. are they counter decks? big monster decks, burn decks, that kind of information. Also, I'd like you're personal recommendations as to which decks are decent and which are not so much. I appreciate the help!
Magic: The Gathering Deck Tips? Hey everyone, I'm doing my best with what I've got to build a mono White Soldier/Kithkin deck (though Kithkin is a bit of an option), and I'm just wondering what I could do better with it. The deck contains the following cards: Spells: Preeminent Captain Glory Seeker Soul Warden Mosquito Guard Palace Guard x2 Cenn's Tactician x3 Ballyrush Banneret x2 Serra Angel x2 Kithkin Zephyrnaut x2 Brigid, Hero of Kinsbaile Veteran Swordsmih Knight-Captain of Eos Kor Hookmaster Veteran of the Depths Gerrard Capashen Captain of the Watch Burrenton Bombardier x2 Pacifism x2 Marshal's Anthem Militia's Pride x2 Concerted Effort Valor Made Real Narrow Escape Repel the Darkness Rest for the Weary Festival of the Guildpact Safe Passage Artifacts: Angel's Feather Pennon Blade Coat of Arms Veteran's Armaments x2 Lands: Plains x22 Vivid Meadow Mistveil Plains I'm not going for any definite strategy with the deck, as you might see by the card list. I do think that it is nice on its own, but I still want to hear others' opinions on how I could do better. Price is definitely an option, but that doesn't really matter. Thanks in advance for your criticism!
magic the gathering help? my friend has a most hated blue white deck based on stopping my creatures in any way shape or form i have tried my best and cannot get any damage done to him. what my question is what is a good deck or strategy for beating the living !@#$ out of this deck
Magic the Gathering: I NEED HELP...? hi, a month ago my friend introduced to me Magic the Gathering i started playing at this club ever since. However, I always end up losing against the kids with uber decks and combos (basically people who does something else than attack like a manic). I need help on some deck builds and strategies with goblins so I at least have a good chance at an amateur tournament. Thanks oh can you explain the combos and such? thanks again
magic:the gathering question? i am playing this guy who has a unbelievably strong turquoise magenta deck okay but as you should know from that statement it's a two strategy deck. now i am on basics so i have a 5 color unblockable deck but if this question is answered in the next 24 hours i will still have time to make a new deck so what is the best strategy for beating a turquoise magenta deck
Magic the Gathering: Regeneration? Ok so I'm pretty new at the game still and just got through playing a game with my gf. She plays g/w and I play blue/black. Just to experiment, I threw a couple of black creatures with regenerate ( Drudge Skeletons and Wall of Bone, I believe) and she had a hard time as everytime she attacked with her mana-heavy green creatures I just blocked and regenerated with those two. Can someone explain a strategy for defeating regen creatures? Or am I using them wrong?
Magic: The Gathering - Anti-Vampire? What is the best strategy i can use against Vampire-Black deck? I used to play Green/Blue, with alot of counter's and some strong creatures, but i got beaten to a pulp by the black vampire deck. Now i just bought a Jund deck, a standard with some cards i threw in from booster packs and such (A Planewalker card and Doom blade and such), but i still got owned by vampire! Is there any good strategy against the vampire (or just black decks), or are they just overpowered as hell? xD
Magic the Gathering deck suggestions? [Creatures] - 22 4x Sigil Captain - When a 1/1 comes into play, it gets two +1/+1 counters 4x Wild Nacatl - gets +1/+1 if you control mountain, and +1/+1 if you control plains 3x Mistmeadow Skulk - lifelink, pro. from CMC 3 or more 3x Hungry Spriggan - trample, gets +3/+3 when it attacks 3x Creakwood Liege* - makes 1/1 wurm tokens per upkeep 3x Viashino Slaughtermaster - double strike 2x Mirror Entity - pay x, and creatures you control become x/x til end of turn [Instants/Sorceries] - 5 3x Overrun - creatures +3/+3 trample 2x Titanic Ultimatum - creatures get +5/+5, first strike, lifelink, trample [Enchantments/Artifacts] - 6 4x Goblin Assault* - put a 1/1 goblin token per upkeep 2x Elemental Mastery - enchant a creature. tap, add x 1/1 elementals. x = enchanted creatures power [Land/Mana] 28 3x Jungle Shrine 11x Forest 7x Plains 7x Mountain The cards with Asterisk* by their name mean I'm thinking about getting it, but I want something cheaper. The main strategy is to get the Sigil Captains out, and play cheap creatures that'll end up huge. For example, if I have a Sigil Captain out, and I play a Wild Nacatl, he could potentially become a 5/5. For one green mana. I was thinking off adding a Mayael's Aria, which would be good around mid-game, but the fact that it's pretty much useless in an opening hand. I also thought about Cold-Eyed Selkie for drawing. Mirror Entity is more of a blocker for me, and coupled with the +1/+1 counters I can get pretty high for not that much. I thought the Sigil Captain idea was interesting, but most people were just using tokens. Then I got to thinking about Wild Nacatl, and then I just formed this deck. But I should probably add some accel, so I can get Sigil Captain Faster. Type 2. I could probably knock off the Entitys and one of the Overruns for 3 Trace Abundance, and knock off two of the Goblin Assaults for some Rampant Growths.
Magic The Gathering (MTG) help with an all-mana deck? i made 1, which consisted of 88 cards, with the strategy to hold out until i get 1 of my planeswalkers, inkwell leviathon, or feral hydra. Who plays Magic: The Gathering? How and Why? Share your answers with everyone. Magic The Gathering : Elf Deck Help? This Friday i was thinking of running an elvish predation theme deck but i am a little unsure if i like the strategies it involves. Could you give me a few of your own you like to use with this deck or a site that give strats Thanks
Magic: The Gathering Tips, Green/Black Mid-Range Deck? I recently got back into Magic last week with a few friends and I thought of a new deck type I haven't tried out yet; a green and black mid-range deck. From my knowledge this requires a lot of black control and green fatties. For control I have 18 black discard/destroy cards For fatties I have some greens ranging from 4/4-7/7 My deck is very basic right now and I'm looking to improve. If it helps any, I'm using the eventide death march deck with modifications. Specific cards, combos, strategies, and improvements are what I'm hoping to get from anyone that is willing to help. Thanks in advance!

RGB Magic the Gathering Devour Deck Help (Type II)? MAIN DECK Land - 23 4 Swamp 5 Mountain 5 Forest 4 Savage Lands 3 Vivid Crag 2 Vivid Grove Creatures - 23 2 Jund Battlemage 4 Thunder-Thrash Elder 2 Predator Dragon 4 Elvish Visionary 4 Sprouting Thrinax 3 Devoted Druid 3 Mycoloth 1 Kresh the Bloodbraided Spells - 12 4 Gift of the Gargantuan 4 Jund Charm 4 Dragon Fodder Artifact - 2 2 Loxodon Warhammer SIDEBOARD 2 Caldera Hellion 2 Shriekmaw 2 Primal Command 4 Gutteral Response 3 Naturalize 2 Firespout STRATEGY MAIN DECK Play a first turn tap land, second turn Dragon Fodder, Druid or Visionary. Third Turn Elder or Gargantuan for a desired creature or Thrinax. Eating begins right after, using it for Aggro. Jund Charm will be for control purposes or pumping up stuff, Mycoloth and Jund Battlemage will create more devour material. Predator Dragon is a finisher if drawn for evasion and Haste. Kresh is like Worship in the fammous House of Slivers deck: A nice add-on. With him out, you have to remove HIM first before you can take our other threats because taking out others will support Kresh. If things really do get stalled out, Jund Battlemage can deal out some direct attacks. SIDEBOARD Hellion is essentially replacable for cheap devourers and adds better control. Shriekmaw will be an answer and possible late game threat. Primal Command is against burn decks in replacement of Gift of the Gargantuan. Gutteral Response if purely against Blue control and Cryptic Commands. Firespout takes care of aggro decks to some extent. Naturalize takes out anything in the form of O-Ring and Grave Pact. Questions I have: - Should I replace Thunder Thrash Elder, which is a Vanilla creature, with Thunder Thrash, which can trample, but is more expensive and is weaker? - Terror? - Incinerate or Jund Charm? Results I've seen from the Deck: - Does fine against BU Control. It suffers if it doesn't draw more than 2 Devour creatures early as one will probably die, but it'll get through - Struggles early Vs Burn. Hence Primal Command acting as a Life Gain and Worldy Tutor - If it's faster than Kithkin, it wins - 50/50 Vs Fairies One other thing, I am limited budget wise. I think it was $40 to build this thing, so I'm down to about $10-20 that I'm willing to spend on this.
assassin deck. magic the gathering mtg need advice? Ok so basically I'm running near 20 kill creature cards and tons of assassins to the point that creatures simply will not live ever. I have grave peril for protection from black creature delay. If you have any ideas on what i should do to keep opposing creatures off the board feel free but what I'm most concerned for is... HOW DO I WIN? What strategy wouldn't make me modify the deck too much and allow me to make the killing blow without attacking with my little weak assassins a thousand times. I realize this doesn't sound well thought out but thats because I only started building it about ten minutes ago so any and all thoughts are welcome. Thanks

Is my magic the gathering deck good? I have a couple questions. I have a naya based deck. u know like the 5 or greater stuff. but i also added some burn spells and spells that buff them up. like shape of the wittigo. is this a good strategy? here are some examples of the cards in my deck so far... creatures- x1 bull cerodon x1 ronom hulk x1 night of skyward eye x1 knight of whte orchid x1 rakeclaw gargantuan x1 wooly thoctar x1 realm razer x1 ridge rannet and others.should i take any out. waht are some suggestions to add? spells- pretty much just things that do damage to target player and things that make creatures stronger. is this ok? wat are somethings i could add? one last thing should i buy the naya based deck that they sell to help me out? thankssssssssssssss
Fishliver Oil in magic the gathering? I am thinking about adding this to my deck. My decks strategy is to control the other players land and make their land islands using cards like reef shaman, tidal warriors, and phantasmal terrain. I want to use creatures like hammerhead shark or giant shark because they are powerful but relatively cheap for what they do because they cant attack unless the other player owns an island. While I solve this problem by having in place those land changing cards mentioned before, would it be worth my while to employ fishliver oil to aid big hitting cards like sea monster? With my deck design sea monster could get a chance to attack and with fishliver oil be unblockable as well. This card seems to be rated rather low on the Gatherer. Any reason to this? Should I include this spell in my deck?
Can you rate my Magic: The Gathering Discard Deck? The deck is mono-black except for Deptors' Knell Creatures: 15 4 Abbysal Nocturnis 4 Hypnotis Specor 4 Shimian Spector 3 Augur of Skulls Other Spells: 25 4 Megrim 4 Hymn to Tourach 4 Honden of Night's Reach 4 Deptors' Knell 3 Dark Ritual 3 Last Gasp 3 Mind Twist 2 Damnation Lands: 20 20 Swamps The strategy with this deck is to run down your opponent's hand so that they can't stop your onslaught. 1. Open the early game with a Dark Ritual if you can 2. Before your opponent manages to build up his/her creatures, run down his hand with as many low-cost discard cards as possible 3 If you opponent manages to get an army going, use damnation to clear up the playing field 4. Start bringing out your creatures as you keep your opponent's hand count as low as possible 5. In the late game you can use Deptors' Knell to grab all those awesome creatures your opponent has been losing to your discard cards and use them against him/her 6. Just attack. They won't be able to stop you if they don't have anything to stop you with. So? Any tips? I'm open to any advice on how to improve this deck before I spend like 75$ to buy it.
Please fix/rate my R/B Magic the Gathering Elf deck!? Here is the decklist, it lacks in consistency, mainly due to the fact that it has no main strategy: Elf Deck list: Creatures: Pendelhaven Elder x 1 Elvish Handservant x 1 Gilt-leaf Seer x 1 Elvish Eulogist x 1 Elvish Branchbender x 2 Winnower Patrol x 2 Moonglove Winnower x 2 Elvish Warrior x 2 Ambassador Oak x 2 Bramblewood Paragon x 2 Naths Elite x 4 Civic Wayfinder x 4 Spells: Primal Command x 1 (INSANE) Recross the Path x 1 Assassinte x 1 Footbottom Feast x 1 Lace with Moonglove x 1 Overrun x 2 Blanchwood Armor x 2 Prowess of the Fair x 2 Gilt Leaf Ambush x 2 Rampant Growth x 4 Artifacts: Wanderer's Twig x 1 Obsidian Battle Axe x 2 Lands: Forest x 17 Swamp x 6 Thanks!
How can I improve my W/U "color and land manipulation" deck? (Magic: The Gathering)? Here's the deck: 10 x Plains 12 x Islands Creatures: 4 x Stern Judge 4 x Crusading Knight 3 x Tidal Visionary 3 x Obsidian Acolyte 3 x Riptide Mangler 2 x Northern Paladin 2 x Sky Weaver Other Spells: 4 x Isochron Scepter 4 x Vision Charm 3 x Jaded Response 2 x Distorting Lens 2 x Spirit Link 2 x Spectral Shift The basic strategy is to change the colors of permanents and spells in order to inflict damage, destroy such permanents, or protect from them. Also, to manipulate land type in order to increase Crusading Knight's power/toughness, and use Stern Judge to inflict damage with its ability. The main weaknesses are against mostly-artifact decks, and decks that share my colors. I've had some very good success because of how interlaced the different tactics are. I can achieve the same goal by using different cards, so it's pretty consistent. The reason I want to update it is that it's been a while since I last played, and I'm curious about the new editions.

Zombie Deck for Magic the Gathering? I was wondering if there's any real good zombie cards I could throw together. I was thinking Carrion Feeder, since I've had fun with him in the past, and also maybe mixing Traumatize and Pyrrhic Revival together in the same deck to center along reviving my creatures (I have Infernal Caretaker thrown in as well. Is it even worth it to keep him in there?0, so I guess some water spells could be included. Does anyone have tips/good cards/strategies in mind that I could possibly use in this deck?
Whats a good hobby for someone around that age of 18? I am 18 years old and I have been thinking of something to do with my spare time. I have played Magic the Gathering, but I think I am a little too old for that. I like anything that is strategy and things that will be really worth it. (I have considered writing) If anyone has ideas please share! Thanks

How to make my life better/more interesting? Call me a nerd / weird, i just turned 15, but i spend the majority of the time at home playing computer games / thinking up strategies or decks for trading card games. im not much of a sports person, i do have some friends but they dont play card games like magic the gathering / yu-gi-oh (you have to admit its fun and the show is entertaining no matter what age you are) i dont like sports, in fact i just dont like a lot of things.... anyways, i just think that i would be outside enjoying the world a lot more if things like these actually existed. i know yu-gi-oh would exist and go BIG (everyone would play, itd be like a sport) if someone finds a way to make cheap costing holograms and "codes" for a card. id LOVE that and id be out at "dueling arenas" or whatever every night. my local card store has tournaments for magic, but magic requires you to have cards from recent sets while yu gi oh doesnt, plus people at tournaments have cookie cutter decks that arent unique -.-. i just think life is BORING. how can i make my life more interesting? i was thinking of being a TV show plot/ game designer what i get older...if that helps you answer
What are the best sites to find Pokemon CCG (TCG) deckbuilding strategies? I am a father who has begun playing Pokemon with my 8 year old son. I find the game a compelling replacement for the much more complicated Magic: The Gathering game that I played in my youth. The mechanics are pretty straightforward and rewarding. While I have found a few sites that range from "very-" to "not so-" helpful, I am wondering if any of you other folks have found some additional sites that could help us to develop deckbuilding strategies. The sites I currently use as references are: http://maxpages.com/pokeoncenter/ideas_on_how_to_make_a_deck http://www.pokemoncrater.com/ http://www.pojo.com/TCGStrategies/November99/1102xx.htm http://www.go-pokemon.com/tcg/howtoplay/demo.html That last link is a *fantastic* flash demo of how to properly play the game. It's the basis for our collective education on the subject. Thanks in advance to any of you who can offer help. Thanks for the contribution. I think that the Pokegym looks like a good forum site. However, what I'm *optimally* looking for is a collection of pages that directly state strategies, as opposed to forums that have to be searched. That said, the Gym is definitely on my permanent resource list now.
why are card games so deplorable? yu-gi-oh had no strategy and it's card were way to rare to actually enjoy the game and magic:the gathering well just wow i have never seen a card game with such a bullshit set of rules i mean wow they really messed up there didn't they in magic you think theres a light but it's just more darkness.
Why do I have this insatiable hunger to compete? I've always wanted to do stuff that challenged me, especially if it involving competing with other people. I've always loved strategy games like Warcraft III Starcraft and Magic the Gathering, but for some odd reason, I never got a kick out of actually succeeding and becoming the best, in fact it did nothing but depress me. I get no enjoyment out of competing, I make myself sick with all the stress I put myself through, but I couldn't care less when I do succeed. Why am I like this? I am not addicted to any specific game. I abandoned both starcraft and warcraft III when the player bases died off without any fuss, I dont want to play a game that offers no challenge to me. I am not addicted to anything specific I just seem to be 'addicted' to competing.
What should I ask for Christmas? I am a History buff, Strategy puzzlehead, I LOVE custom character and colors, I like MMORPGs, and I am very competitive. I also like Magic: the gathering, RTSs, FPSs, and anime. What do you think I should ask for? (I know you'll say world peace, but seriously)
Magic the Gathering: Kamigawa? I'm making a black/white mixed deck out of only cards from Champions and Betrayers. Give me some strategies or cards to use
Magic- what shuffling strategies do you use? I'm having the worst luck with my Magic: The Gathering decks. They're all kickass, (I've been playing long enough to know this for a fact,) but every game, I get foxtrotted (effed.) I draw creature after creature after creature for ten turns and don't get the necessary second or third color lands I need, or I draw nonstop lands. This screwed me over at last night's prerelease- when my deck wasn't full of clumps, I won almost unquestionably. I try weaving, but that doesn't seem to work well enough. I try table shuffling, but that doesn't work either. I have a good balance of creatures and basic lands, and throw in at least three to five cards of mana generation- that's not my problem. More experienced players of Magic: how do you shuffle/ randomize your cards in such a way that you're not screwed when you play? It would really help. Well, then, why are you answering? Why are you even looking in card games? Aren't there other parts of Answers you could be?
magic vs dnd vs warhammer? which is most fun. which costs less. which has the largest international community. which has the most strategy. which is the most pimpin.MAGIC THE GATHERING VS DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS VS WARHAMMER FANTASY!

What's the diference between TCGs and CCGs? maybe its a dumb question. Magic: The Gathering is advertised as a Collectable Card Game while most other card games are Trading Card Games. (Casing Point: The Official Pokemon TRADING CARD GAME.) Is it because some capitalise on the trading with other players while others capitalise on collecting and forming strategies?
What's your opinion on this book? Hi, I'd like to ask for your opinion(s) on this book. I can provide the excerpt (I got it off a website, lol) Could you please provide your opinion on the grammar and storyline? Thank you everyone. Here's the excerpt: The Floraad Conflict The pale moon glowed ominously in the night sky, as the dark clouds rumbled and thundered, radiating a surge of intensity and suspense surrounding the two armies that currently battled. “Go, my comrades!” shouted a winged lieutenant. “Fight those beasts and show them no mercy!” A horn of warfare sounded and a wave of angelical beings charged down the battlefield towards their horrific foes. The army of Floraad, a city of feminine fairies and masculine angels, clashed with their grotesque enemies on the side of the Arborhex, a kingdom of faceless botanical creatures known as Botonians. Several Floraad soldiers dashed into the dark sky, as the wooden beasts of the opposing side jumped several yards into the air, causing many aerial battles before the ground battles could even begin. The two sides attacked and blasted their enemies with their weapons and magical energies. Floraad’s general appeared at the top of a high cliff. The Angelic with long silver hair tied into a ponytail and gleaming amethyst armor, stared out onto the dark battlefield, where the only light came from the conflagrating blazes that burned down fairy homes. He did not know why the Botonians used flames, for their bodies were vulnerable to fire, but he knew they would do anything to conquer the fairy city. His feathered wings unfolded and his luminous body jumped off the cliff. He opened his wings to full span and glided down to join his comrades in battle. He gashed a Botonian’s face, upon landing, with his graceful sword. As the injured and shrieking beast gripped its face with its ligneous arm, the Angelic grabbed the creature’s head, and blasted a ball of emerald energy. The monstrous head burned into dark ashes, as the body fell motionlessly to the ground. The general drew out his dagger and jammed it directly into the creature’s heart, stopping its beating rhythm and preventing the head from regenerating. Many of the other Angelics charged and sliced their enemies, while the Arborhex’s army did likewise. When the angelical general looked around, only sorrow and death caught his eyes. Gangs of wooden beasts engulfed several of his soldiers. One Angelic managed to escape through flight, but a violent bolt struck him down. The general raced towards his fallen comrade and attempted to rescue him, but failed, for the injured body fell to its demise. The devastated Angelic clenched his teeth in anger, as a group of the Arborhex’s creatures spotted him. They blasted beams of violet bolts at the airborne general, who powerfully countered with a stream of green flames. When the two rays of magic struck, a low and thunderous crash roared. Many of the combatants ceased fighting and stared at the deadlock. The general could feel his body shaking, as his altitude decreased. “I will not be beaten by mere wooden puppets!” he yelled. He pushed forward and his flames forced the opposing stream back. The losing Botonians snarled, as more of their comrades gathered, to add to the losing bolts. The general held on tight and shoved more power into his flames, while his soldiers aided him by merging their energy with his. Suddenly, the struggle between the two sides concluded in a draw, when both groups shoved high amounts of energy into the deadlock, blasting the ligneous beasts and their foes back. Many of the Angelics remained airborne, while many others, along with their enemies, landed roughly upon the battlefield. When a wounded Floraad soldier saw more of his botanical enemies pouring continuously from the horizon, he searched for his general and shouted, “There’s too many of them!” The general sliced a wooden beast in two and commanded with a vociferous voice, “Surround Shae Palace, and protect our queen!” The surviving soldiers formed an enormous circle around the marble structure, as the general made his way in. Upon entering, the general could see a ceiling of clear glass, where the moon shone its light upon the queen, making her overwhelmingly majestic. Green lights lit marble walls, where the engraved names of past Angelic kings and Fairy queens showed. In the center of the circular room stood a giant table blanketed by an enormous map. The queen stood before the table of strategies, her hair bundled up into a silver gray ball, with a diamond tiara sitting at the front edge of her head. Her silk dress hung down to the floor and a purple silk scarf wrapped her aged neck, where jewels of value clung. A pair of emerald butterfly wings sprouted from her back. Her almond-shaped eyes glanced up at the approaching soldier. The general bowed on a single knee. “My queen, they have surrounded and out-numbered us.” He stood. “My men are trying to hold them back.” “No Sorry about the cut off. There's more, at this link: https://secure.advbookstore.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=214 I did right this. I have another question. What should I do if someone gave me a terrible book review?
